Duties:The Controller provides leadership and direction to our corporate Finance Department while establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting and finance principles, practices, procedures and initiatives.  This position adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, other regulatory and advisory organizations, and practices appropriate to the industry.  This individual is responsible for managing monthly accounting close, financial reporting, treasury, income taxes, annual financial statement audit, accounts payable, cost accounting, and general ledger. This position provides direct supervision to the Finance Department and will coordinate the development and implementation of management tools and continuous improvement strategies to maximize the efficiency of the financial support services and financial systems throughout the Company.
Qualifications:This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, plus a minimum of 7 years of public or private accounting experience.  CPA required.  Knowledge of financial reporting as well as analytical and reasoning abilities are required.  Working knowledge of tax compliance, including applicable state/provincial and federal laws, a plus.  Detail oriented, organizational and communication skills required. Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality. International travel is required to meet business goals and objectives required on a limited basis.
