Nationwide Employer is currently seeking a Sales Territory Manager based in the DesMoines, IA or Omaha, NE area to sell and promote architectural and decorative building products to Architects, Contractors, Interior Designers, and Facility end users.

Minimum of 3 years sales experience and a Bachelor's Degree required.  Excellent presentation and computer skills required.  Must have experience in the building products industry calling on Architects, Interior Designers, and Contractors.

Prior experience with a building products manufacturer preferred.  Satisfactory driving record required. Territory includes Iowa and Nebraska. Expense reimbursement and company car included.

Our client's plan is to offer our solution to the entire community of aerospace companies; from the largest aircraft manufacturers to foreign military operations, and from commercial airlines to the smallest MROs.

To be successful we will need to leverage our client's corporation's extensive network of relationships, and need to establish a network of sales representatives throughout the globe. A key position in this new effort is the Manager of Sales Operations.

As a core member of the product team, the Manager of Sales Operations will be responsible for the development all aspects of the sales cycle, from awareness, interest, consideration, and ultimately to close, with a primary focus on growth in the number of qualified opportunities in the sales funnel and on the achievement of sales targets.

Given the early stage of the business, you will work closely with company leadership in the development of a comprehensive product marketing strategy, and with our existing business development team to establish of a successful go-to-market strategy. You will need to know our customers' world well, and become expert in our client's product so that you can guide others in the development of specific packages and proposals to meet their unique needs.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Development, the Manager of Sales Operations will:

- Meet and exceed sales quotas while adhering to the company's sales rules of engagement
- Effectively coordinate with the full range of colleagues and counterparts throughout the corporation
- Manage and be the main point of contact for existing alliance partners
- Aggressively drive partners to maximize sales and total partnership potential through sales best practices, training and support
- Manage sales orders and provide status to partners and/or manager
- Communicate masterfully with partners on new products and service offerings
- Create systems and procedures to streamline partner management
- Work with marketing to drive programs and events to extend the relationships to new prospects
- Managing a complex, enterprise solution sale with our channel partners; to include management of the RFP process
- Continually learn about new products and improve selling skills. You will be required to attend training events throughout the year
- Demonstrate industry knowledge and a inquisitive mindset
- Provide weekly reporting of pipeline and forecast using the SalesForce automation tool
- Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
- Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows
- Prepare written presentations, reports, and price quotations
- Conduct contract negotiations
- Define and execute partner sales plans
- Establish and achieve success metrics
- Serve as a partner with corporate leadership in the definition and development of future product features

Professional Requirements

- Bachelors degree required
- 5+ years' sales experience in the aerospace industry, with aftermarket and/or maintenance experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Successful achievement of multi-million dollar quotas, preferably in a consultative enterprise solutions or technical sales
- Ability to manage a pipeline with multiple accounts and partners
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle
- Proposing presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers
- Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions

In addition:

- Must be able to travel up to 25-40%of the time
- Qualified candidates will be required to conduct an in-person presentation and submit a writing sample.

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree preferred in business, operations, management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • PMI certification and/or six sigma preferred.
  • Typically requires a minimum of five (5) years of management experience and at least four (4) years of programmatic experience.
  • Turnover management experience required.
  • Financial management ability for multiple site and/or projects (budget, ROI, cash flow) on both a stand-alone and roll-up basis with little to no assistance required.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff and suppliers through variety of communications vehicles required.
  • Ability to create tactical operating models aligned with key financial drivers.
  • Ability to strategically analyze disparate data sets and translate into tactical improvement required.
